The long-awaited sequel to the extremely popular action RPG series, Diablo 4, is finally opening its beta test period. As veteran online game players and beta testers, though, might already expect that a game this caliber will have quite a lot of bugs or issues regarding server accessibility. One of them is the dreaded error code 395002. This guide will tell you everything you need to know about and how to fix Error Code 395002 in Diablo 4.

What is Error 395002?

At the time of writing, there is no clear indication of what triggers error code 395002. If we check the official known issues list for both Diablo 4 Beta on PC and consoles on the Battle.net forum, there is no mention of error code 395002. But, judging from beta players’ reactions on social media, it seems the “Your Account is Currently Locked” 395002 Error happens because of extreme server load.

This is not surprising, considering how popular the Diablo series is. Thousands of players would want to get a taste of the upcoming hack-and-slash RPG and try to log in to the server simultaneously, especially at the weekends. Not to mention that currently, this is still a beta test period; Activision Blizzard is testing both the gameplay experience and server capabilities at the same time. While Diablo 3 was also plagued by server issues at its official launch, let’s hope the team has learned a lot since then and is preparing a much smoother release experience for Diablo 4.

As you play the Diablo IV Beta, keep in mind the experience is not finalized and you may encounter bugs and outages along the way.

After the beta test concludes, we’ll evaluate all feedback we’ve received and will make changes as needed.

Diablo 4 – How to Fix Error Code 395002

As mentioned above, Error 395002 happens because of server overload. Unfortunately, this means there is not much that players can do to fix it:

  1. Wait 5 minutes or more, then log back into Diablo 4.
  2. Rebooting Diablo 4 and restarting Battle.net might also refresh your hero screen and the server queue.
  3. Switch to another region and switch back to refresh your game’s cache.
  4. Run the repair tool on Battle.net by clicking the gear icon next to the Play button and selecting Scan and Repair.

Nevertheless, at the moment, we can only wait for the servers to stabilize or for Activision Blizzard to release hotfixes to resolve the issue. Thankfully though, there are two things that should take your mind off of the issue.

First, the good news is that despite the error 395002 messages saying that “Your Account is Currently Locked,” your account is safe. Reddit user oonline said that after waiting for a short amount of time, they are able to log back in after clicking the Start Game button. On the other hand, user Astrocuties said that they’re locked for more than 12 hours, so luck and logging in during a specific time might help you get into the game again. Another open beta period is also planned for March 24 at 9 AM PT, allowing players another opportunity to play the game and hopefully encounter fewer bugs.

We also have guides on other error codes, such as Error 316719 and Error 34203, don’t forget to check them out, too, if you’re having other problems!
