Manor Lords throws a ton of details at players, while it doesn’t explain everything. Sawpit is the construction that allows the players to cut out planks from timbers, and sometimes it just stops working. Now this is a common challenge that might happen to the other working fields as well. However, there’s a simple solution to fix the Sawpit not working problem in Manor Lords.

You’ve signed a family – or families – to a Sawpit and it’s not producing any planks. Or, it is working too slowly in comparison to others. But, have you checked what those signed people are doing in your village?

Click on your Sawpit in Manor Lords, and then check the People tab on it. In these cases, people are usually Waiting or Going Home. You can see where they are, which will then let you track their activities on why they’re not coming to work. This is because the other buildings are blocking the way.

One of the most important things to consider in Manor Lords is road-building. You must create a solid route to every house, store, and construction building that people work in. If people are waiting for no reason in your Sawpit, the road is either blocked, or there are no oxen available to deliver, hence, they’re not working in your Manor Lords settlement.

So to keep things in check, review the tips below to prevent the Sawpit not working problem in the Manor Lords:

  • Every building needs a connection to the main road.
  • Do not tighten your village’s working field. Choose a wide area, and put your structures around a circle with storage at the center.
  • Put an ox beside your Sawpit for faster and better transportation speed.
  • Make sure there are trees around the Sawpit.

Manor Lords is currently available to play via Steam and PC Game Pass.
