Since the migration to the Call of Duty HQ in 2022, MW2, Warzone, and MW3 have been suffering the same voice chat issue. Video games don’t cause violence, but the issues that come with them do. So, to prevent smashing controllers and frowning faces, we’ve gathered a few workarounds to fix the voice chat disabled issue in MW3 and Warzone.
Everything starts with starting a match and an annoying message saying “Voice Chat Disabled” shows up in your HUD. This could simply be an inconsistent internet connection error, or the game’s server having issues putting you and players from other platforms in the same voice channel. Whichever the case, you can try the fixes below to solve your problem.
Create Your Own Channel
Creating your own voice channel in Call of Duty HQ is one of the rare positive features that’s been added to the game since MW2. You can start a channel by scrolling down on the voice chat tab in the menu, and then create your own with its unique name. Then, invite other players in there to fix your voice chat disabled issues in MW3 and Warzone.
Switch The Voice Chat Option
The downside of creating your own voice channel is that you can only invite your friends. What if you’re playing with randoms and the Voice Chat Disabled message pops up? Well, you can try switching your voice chat option off/on.
Reconnect To The Voice Chat Channel
By pressing the Square/X button on a voice channel, you can disconnect from it. Try reconnecting to the main game’s channel to fix the voice chat disabled issue in MW3 and Warzone.
Remember that overall, this is an issue with the game that needs correction by the developers. However, these fixes can help you bypass this error, especially if you run your own custom voice channel in the game.
Call of Duty: Warzone and MW3 are currently available to play on PS5, PS4,
