Companions in your party are what make an RPG whole. If you are in need of a Fighter in Baldur’s Gate 3, Lae’zel can be a good choice if you can free her. You will meet her during the prologue before getting into the meat of Act 1. Once you start to form your party and get the ball rolling in the game, you will see that she needs saving. We have easy steps to follow for you to become her hero, and she can then join your party for fun and daring adventures.
You wake up on the Ravaged Beach, but one of your companions is nowhere in sight. If you want to find Lae’zel after the prologue in Baldur’s Gate 3, go north to the Roadside Cliffs. You know you are in the right place when you come across two Tieflings. They will discuss what to do with the catch of the day. When walking up, you will interact with the three of them. Regarding Lae’zel, you will communicate telepathically as she urges you for help. You don’t have to, as this is a Larian RPG, but your choice to do so will benefit you with a new companion.
When talking to the Tieflings, Damayas and Nymessa, you can either convince them to leave or you can fight them. A warning to Paladins: you will become an Oathbreaker if you engage in this fight. Once they are out of the way, you can go free your friend. If you select the option to shoot Lae’zel down, she will want to attack the Tieflings, putting you either against them or her. The choice is yours to make.
A bow should be nearby, or if anyone in your party has one, you can shoot the cage down to free Lae’zel, thus giving you another companion option in Baldur’s Gate 3. Either heal her when she falls or reduce her fall damage with a spell. Then you can talk to her and let her join your squad. Shadowheart will disapprove, but once at camp, the two of you can talk it out. Despite some of the difficult personalities you meet, you can usually find a way to work things out to have the party you want.
