Accessory Unlock Kits are rare items in Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed. You can only equip one accessory at first, but these items will allow your characters to equip up to three accessories at once. These kits look like collectibles but aren’t as easy to find as Warning Lamps. Finding them will be just as good as finding more Affinity Points to strengthen your party. Eventually, Accessory Unlock Kits will allow you to combine the effects of powerful accessories to keep your team alive. There are enough to go around for everyone, and here’s how you find them in the world.

Accessory Unlock Kits don’t look like anything special when you first see them. They look like any other collectible when you come across them. You only discover they are an Accessory Unlock Kit when you run into them. Unlike other collectibles, collecting a Kit will display a prominent banner on your screen once you collect it. That banner tells you the type of kit you found, and it will also open up a section in the Tips menu that lets you learn more information. One location where you can find a Kit is under the tree at the Pioneer’s Point landmark in the Aurora Shelf. Finding the Kit will give you an insight into how the Kits work and give you a headstart on powering up your characters.

They aren’t always lying around on the ground. You can also search containers, open Relics, and complete standard Quests to find more Kits and unlock more accessory slots. You will have to comb every corner of Aionios to find them, but you can usually find them off the beaten path. Having the Treasure Sensor from Tinkering With the X-Reader can help you find containers and Relics, which boosts your chances of finding the Kits you want. Going off the beaten path can also help since you will likely find Relics when you repair ladders or go through unexplored caverns.

To use an Accessory Unlock Kit, just go to your Accessories menu for a specific character. You can open as many slots as you have Kits, and there is enough for everyone. Don’t worry about holding on to them, as you won’t have to make any difficult decisions. The tutorial states that every character has enough Kits to max out their slots, and you shouldn’t be too reserved in using them.

Start Searching For Those Kits

The world of Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed is vast, and you will spend a lot of time searching for those Kits. But allowing your characters to reach their full potential is definitely worth it. If you want to experience gameplay without finding those Kits, you can always go back to Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and level your way toward equipping more accessories.
