How To Get and Evolve Electabuzz in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk

They are cooler than a portable generator. And much nicer.

While The Indigo Disk DLC brought a lot of brand new Pokemon to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it also invited veterans of the pocket monster universe to the party. One such Pokemon is the Electabuzz, an Electric-type Gen 1 Pokemon, and its previous and subsequent evolutionary forms, Elekid and Electivire. All these Pokemon can be great trophies for your Blueberry Pokédex, but collecting them all is not so easy. So we are here to help you and tell you how to get the Electabuzz family and evolve them in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk.

Where To Find Elekid and Electabuzz in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

The only place you can meet Elekid and Electabuzz is the Blueberry Academy Terrarium added in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with The Indigo Disk DLC. You can find these pocket monsters throughout most of the Canyon Biome or in the depths of Chargestone Cave in the Polar Biome.

It is worth noting that Elekid are much more common than Electabuzz and are easier to catch. Therefore, if you cannot find the second form of this Pokemon, you only need to level up Elekid and get the desired Pokemon through evolution.

How To Evolve Elekid into Electabuzz and Electivire in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

To evolve Elekid into Electabuzz, you only need to raise its level to 30. This process should not take time since the level of wild Pokemon is often above this mark. So you can initiate evolution immediately after capturing the little Elekid.

Despite the simple first step, getting Electivire is a little more difficult. Your Electabuzz level doesn’t matter, but to evolve it into Electivire, you will have to do the following:

  • Get the Electirizer item and give it to Electabuzz.
  • While your Pokemon is holding this item, trade it with another trainer.
  • During the exchange, Electabuzz evolves into Electivire.
  • Trade again with another trainer to get your Electivire.

The easiest way is to trade with players who want to get the same Pokemon as you. In this case, you should use trade code 2011-2011. Thanks to this solution, you will be sure that you will get the desired pocket monster. However, if you play with friends, you can make two trades without fear of being deceived.

The easiest way to get the Electirizer in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is to buy it from the Blueberry Academy School Store for 250 Blueberry Points. Also, you can find this item in random Pokeballs in Electabuzz family habitats if you don’t want to spend in-game currency. Additionally, sometimes, you can catch wild Electabuzz that hold this item.
