If you wish to survive Tears of the Kingdom, you must get and use fairies. These little creatures have been present in The Legend of Zelda franchise since its inception and are amongst the most beloved ones. This is because they are quite lifesavers, and this is not the exception in the newest Zelda title, Tears of the Kingdom. If you have played Breath of the Wild before, you know that Fairies have several beneficial uses. This happens as well in TotK. To ensure your survival, continue reading to learn how to get and use fairies in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Fairies in Zelda games have often been used as a get-out-of-death card. In TotK, this is no different. Many enemies and perils in the Hyrule Kingdom will strike you down in one hit. Combine that with losing all your hearts at the beginning of the game, and you are in an uphill battle. However, there are items you can use to strengthen yourself. Getting more Heart Containers and powerful armor is a great way to go, but that could take time. That is where the fairies enter the game. These fairies in Tears of the Kingdom can be found at Sky Islands with ponds and inside caves at ground level. To collect them, you will have to approach them while crouching. Stealth is the name of the game. If you approach them by walking or running, they will fly away and disappear.

Once you collect the fairies, they will be part of your inventory. If you wish, you can consume them to restore five hearts. However, there are a couple of uses that are better fitted for survival. The first one is the ability to revive you. If you get knocked out by an enemy, these fairies will automatically revive you and grant you several hearts to continue fighting. This has been the primary usage for fairies in Zelda games. However, since BotW, and also present in Tears of the Kingdom, fairies are also used in cooking. If you wish to boost up any recipe and add some health recovery as well, go ahead and combine your ingredients with a fairy. This will end up with you having a premium product, lifesaving as well.
