Starfield will show you a future world in which people have been able to explore space and populate many planets. But as you travel through different worlds, you will find that people and their habits have not changed at all. A good example is Neon, one of the most beautiful cities in the game. It produces one of the most popular drugs, which, of course, is prohibited in all systems. And if you want to make money selling this rare product, you have to learn how to cook it. So, read on to find out how to get Aurora in Starfield.

As we said, Aurora is quite a popular item in Starfield. However, you can “legally” buy it only in the city of Neon on Volii Alpha in the Volii system. Go to the Astral Lounge and talk to the bartender to purchase the Aurora for about 700 Credits. This drug slows down time by 40% for 10 seconds, which can be very useful during battles.

Aurora cannot be taken out of the city, at least not as smuggling. Of course, you can get around this prohibition in various ways, but it will be much easier to cook this drug in one of your Labs.

How To Make Aurora

First of all, you need to get a recipe for the drug. To do this, meet Neshar near the entrance to the city. It will start the Loose Ends quest, during which you will have to be an ordinary Xenofresh worker for one day. After completing the quest, you will learn Aurora’s recipe to cook it whenever you want in Starfield.

It is with nothing, that Aurora is not an ordinary drug, so you will have to spend time searching for its ingredients:

  • Hallucinogen – 2
  • Benzene
  • Stimulant
  • Chasmbass Oil

It is a recipe for one dose of Aurora. Luckily, all of these ingredients can be purchased at one of the Trade Authority stores. You can also get them using your Outposts. However, Chasmbass Oil is only produced on Neon, so if you want to manually farm it, you have to hunt Chasmbass fish.

After collecting all the ingredients, you can cook Aurora in Starfield. However, trading this drug is not at all profitable since you will sell it on other planets for about 100 Credits. In addition, you will need Shielded Cargo to smuggle contraband on many planets. Therefore, we recommend that you make and use Aurora only for your personal purposes.

That’s all you need to know about how to get Aurora in Starfield. This drug can be very useful in battles, so follow our tips to learn how to cook it. In the meantime, please take a look at our guide on how to complete Deputized in Starfield.

Starfield is available on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
