If you want to take a break from the main plot and enjoy side stories, the game provides many options. Almost from the beginning of your journey through the Starfield universe, you’ll have the opportunity to complete faction missions to join them, and Freestar Rangers is no exception. This article will provide detailed information on how to complete Deputized in Starfield. You will get access to this mission as soon as you complete the Job Gone Wrong quest, which is not to be skipped. We’ll describe what awaits you and how to overcome the obstacles below.

As we mentioned above, to access the Deputized mission in Starfield, you will first need to complete the Job Gone Wrong quest. This way, Marshal Daniel will see your potential and invite you to become a full member of the faction. But it’s not that simple, as you’ll first need to pass an entrance test to determine if you’re suitable to join and stay in the faction.

The first thing you’ll have to do is talk to Emma Wilcox. It’s not hard to find her, as she is located in The Rock, which is on the planet Akila. Once inside, make your way to the stairs leading to the top, where Emma will be waiting for you at one of the tables. After talking to her, you will learn that to become a full member of the faction, you will first need to complete an introductory task, which you can get from the board terminal.

Fortunately, the tasks presented are not difficult and will not take much time. In most cases, you will need to destroy a group of enemies or rescue hostages. After completing the task, you will have to return to Emma to report back on your progress. She will be happy for you and lead you to Marshal Daniel in his office. Here you can take the oath and join the Freestar Rangers and become a Ranger Deputy. Don’t relax, the mission is not over yet because Emma will immediately give you a new task. Someone on the planet Montara Luna is terrorising an ordinary farmer, threatening to take away his land. You will need to go there to help him.

As we said above, your next point of arrival will be Montara Luna, which is located in the Cheyenne System. Once you get here, you will be able to talk to Mikaela Waggoner, the owner of the farm. During the dialog, you will learn that someone came to her with an offer to buy the farm. After refusing, they started threatening the woman and left. And she called for Freestar Rangers help to deal with the bad guys. She also tells you that the bandits have gone to the canyons behind her house, where you now need to go.

Deal With Bandits

Moving in the right direction, you will find traces that will lead you to the robbers. There may also be a few enemies and mines along the way, so get ready to fight and be careful. Don’t forget to stock up on medicine and ammo before you approach their lair. When you arrive, you will see the enemy group and the leader, who will want to talk to you. Regardless of how the dialog progresses, you will eventually have to fight them, so be prepared as their leader has quite a powerful weapon.

Once you’ve killed them all, the next thing you need to do is look for clues that will provide you with information about the bandits. Luckily, it’s not difficult, all you have to do is go to the leader and take the slate with the inscription “Job’s Done” from his corpse. You can read it yourself in the Notes tab, and then talk to Emma Wilcox to show her the slate.

Tell the Information to Mikaela Waggoner

After you and Emma discuss what you’ve read, you can go back to the farm to tell Mikaela Waggoner the good news. Go back the way you came, and soon you will see the woman. Tell her that you have dealt with the bandits, and there will be no more problems, she will thank you, and the Deputized mission in Starfield will be completed.
