Autobuild is one of the new powers Link can earn in Tears of the Kingdom, but unlike his other abilities, the main story quests won’t guide you to this one.  Link has many new powers in his second trip around Hyrule, and you will need all of them to navigate the world and its many dangers. The early hours of the story will guide players to each of these abilities, but you will be left on your own with a glaring empty spot on your ability wheel for hours. Autobuild is this last hidden ability and will remain locked unless you know exactly where to look. This guide will help you understand how to get the Autobuild in Tears of the Kingdom.

Before you can begin your quest for Autobuild, you will need the Paraglider. Head to Lookout Landing after leaving the Great Sky Island and speak to Purah. She will guide you on a quest that will unlock Skyview Towers and the use of a glider. Once you have the glider, head to the map coordinates in the image above. Those coordinates are -0252, -0329, and 0027. Leap into the Depths and use the glider to land safely. This new open-world environment is challenging to navigate. Make use of Brightbloom Seeds to light the path forward.

Once you get acquainted with the dark, you must take a long trip. Avoid the red surfaces, known as Gloom, and try to avoid combat whenever possible. In this area, any enemy that hits you will permanently remove a heart, and you can’t recover them unless you find a Lightroot to activate. To earn this power, head to these coordinates underground -0810,-1929, 0520.

When you arrive here, you can activate a Steward Construct that will explain Autobuild; you will then be interrupted by the one and only leader of the Yiga clan, Master Kohga, and trigger a boss fight. Make sure you have plenty of bows, arrows, and some Bomb Flowers that will come in handy.

How to Beat Master Kohga in Tears of the Kingdom

When the battle against Master Kohga begins, you will be trapped inside a massive, walled-in arena. Kohga will ride around a vehicle and charge right at you. If he rams you, it will deal great damage, so try to use the dodge and avoid him if you can. During this battle, you have two primary methods of attack. You can either shoot him with an arrow or dodge his vehicle and climb aboard, then strike him.

To make this fight easy, attach Bomb Flowers to your arrows, and you will inflict a ton of damage. When he is knocked off his vehicle, melee him until he creates another one. Each new vehicle gets more armor, so dodge out of the way, then attack his rear with arrows to knock him off his mount. Repeat this a few times, and this first battle with Master Kohga will go in your favor.

After Master Kohga is gone, the Steward Contruct will give you Schema Stone, which provides a pre-fabricated vehicle to summon as long as you have Zonaite to spend. Use the Autobuild power to save your favorite creations, and then summon them wherever you are, even during a boss fight. Jump into the Depths and follow the map to unlock the Autobuild power for yourself in Tears of the Kingdom.

That wraps up how to get the Autobuild power in Tears of the Kingdom. For more useful guide content, keep it locked to The Nerd Stash.
