After The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, the new DLC The Teal Mask is finally here. This Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC features new main missions to follow and complete, new Pokemon to catch, and many new mini-games. In order to obtain the Bloodmoon Ursaluna, you need to fulfill the requirements Perrin asks of you. Then you will get a chance to fight and capture the Bloodmoon Ursaluna. Naturally, you will need The Teal Mask DLC for this.

How To Catch Bloodmoon Ursaluna in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

The first requirement to catch Bloodmoon Ursaluna in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Teal Mask DLC is to catch at least 150 different Pokemon types in the Kitakami Pokedex. Then you need to talk to Perrin in Mossui Town near the Community Center. After talking to Perrin, she will want to take photos of you, and then talk to her again.

Afterward, you will have a short duel with Perrin the Photographer. After this duel, Perrin will start talking to you about the Bloodmoon Beast aka Bloodmoon Ursaluna. After talking to Perrin about the Bloodmoon Beast, you can now proceed to the actual side quest.

To continue, you need to go to Timeless Woods, located in the top right corner of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet map. Here you will find Perrin again, talk to her again in front of the tent after the cutscene. After this conversation, Perrin will ask you to take a photo of 10 different Pokemon. Then she tells you to wait for it to get a little dark, and foggy.

After it gets dark, take 10 different Pokemon photos, and come back to Perrin. This time she asks you if you are ready to see the Ursaluna the Bloodmoon Beast. After answering “Yes“, you fight Ursaluna, the Bloodmoon Beast, and then you can capture her once she is weakened.

To summarize briefly,

  1. First, catch 150 different types of Pokemon in Kitakami Pokedex.
  2. Talk to Perrin in Mossui Town, and duel her.
  3. Then head to Timeless Woods to find Bloodmoon Ursaluna.
  4. Here you will see Perrin again and she will ask you to photograph 10 different Pokemon. After doing so, she will lead you to Bloodmoon Ursaluna.
