This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

The First Descendant offers 16 unique playable characters, with Ajax the shield, Lepic the grenadier, and Viessa the ice queen as starters. Although you’ll need to grind or spend premium currency Caliber to unlock most other Descendants, that’s not the case for Bunny. If you want to play as the blue speedster and unleash electrical hell, what you need to do is actually pretty straightforward. That said, let’s go over how to unlock Bunny in The First Descendant.

Basically, all you have to do to unlock Bunny is play the game and complete the tutorial quests. You will be tasked with collecting Bunny’s Descendant crafting material throughout the Obtain Bunny Suit Basic Materials and Advanced Materials subquests:

  • Bunny Enhanced Cells.
  • Bunny Stabilizer.
  • Bunny Spiral Catalyst.
  • Amorphous Material Pattern: Bunny
  • Bunny Code.

However, all of those items are rewards you get from completing the main quests in the Kingston area. The subquest chain starts once you reach The Fallen Theater Outpost. Plow through the main quests and you will eventually get all of Bunny Suit’s basic materials. Then clear the “Attack the Command Center” Slumber Valley mission and beat Greg– we’re not kidding, that’s the dungeon’s boss’ name. Finishing Slumber Valley for the first time rewards you with the Amorphous Material Pattern.

Now to get Bunny Code and finally unlock the namesake Descendant, you should head back to Albion, the main hub. Speak with Seneca near the spawn point and start the “Humanity’s Scourge” main quest; you’ll face your first Void Intercept. Defeat Grave Walker the giant enemy crab with fellow Descendants then don’t forget to activate the Reconstructed Device before going back. If you forgot to use the Device — don’t worry, we also did — just restart a Void Intercept mission. Trade the Amorphous Material Pattern with a Bunny Code using the Reconstructed Device.

Lastly, run to the back area of Albion and speak with Anais the Research Institute Magister. She’s the NPC you want for unlocking characters like Bunny in The First Descendant. Hand her over the Bunny Code, other materials, and 400,000 Gold, and wait 1 minute to pass. Voila, you finally unlocked Bunny!

Switch to Bunny by opening your Inventory and selecting the Descendant tab. You can now play as her as she’s instantly unlocked at Level 10 and you don’t need to grind levels. Anyone who participated in the Crossplay Beta can also redeem an exclusive Head Skin for Bunny in their Mailbox.

You can also buy Bunny directly with 300 Calibers through the Descendant tab of the Premium Shop. But you don’t need to spend premium currency as you’ll unlock her by spending the first 30 minutes of the game. Also, don’t be afraid of spending the 400,000 Gold to unlock Bunny; you’ll instantly get reimbursed for much more by clearing follow-up quests in Albion.

To recap, here’s what you need to complete to unlock Bunny in The First Descendant:

  1. Clear the “Obtain Bunny Suit Basic Materials” and “Advanced Materials” subquests by playing through the tutorial.
  2. Run your first Void Intercept by completing the “Humanity’s Scourge” main quest.
  3. Trade the Amorphous Material Pattern with a Bunny Code using the Reconstructed Device after defeating Grave Digger.
  4. Speak with Anais and pay 400,000 Gold.

The First Descendant is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
