This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Citrine is one of the more interesting heroes available in Warframe. She sports a beautiful geode theme and tends to deal most of her damage with Status Effects and unique abilities. She can easily be used in most types of missions and can be relatively useful in a squad, as she can paralyze targets quite effectively. I like to think of Citrine as more of a support frame, but she can easily be dangerous by herself as well. However, getting Citrine is a bit different than getting some of the other Warframes and can be a bit tricky if you don’t know where to start. Let’s take a look at how to get Citrine in Warframe.

Getting Citrine can take a while since you will have to farm the different blueprints and resources for her. Before you begin, you must complete the Heart of Deimos quest. Once it’s complete, a new node will unlock on Mars, Tyana’s Pass. Tyana’s Pass is a defense mission, so you’ll have to spend quite a bit of time here, which is entirely doable since defense missions are essentially endless missions.

Completing a full rotation on Tyana’s Pass has a 4.50 – 6.80% chance of dropping a blueprint for Citrine in Warframe:

  • Citrine Blueprint
    • 25,000 Credits
    • 1 Citrine Neuroptics
    • 1 Citrine Chassis
    • 1 Citrine Systems
    • 3 Orokin Cells
  • Citrine Neuroptics
    • 15,000 Credits
    • 1,000 Rudedo
    • 1m500 Salvage
    • 15 Faceted Tiametrite
    • 2 Argon Crystals
  • Citrine Chassis
    • 15,000 Credits
    • 1,200 Cryotic
    • 3,000 Alloy Plates
    • 6 Stellated Necrathene
    • 2,000 Nano Spores
  • Citrine Systems
    • 15,000 Credits
    • 15,000 Circuits
    • 1,500 Polymer Bundle
    • 3 Gallium
    • 2 Morphics

Citrine Abilities and Stats

Citrine has some decent armor but lacks Shields, Energy, and Health. However, that does make sense since she is a geode-themed Warframe.

  • Armor – 250
  • Energy – 120
  • Health – 135
  • Shields – 100

However, Citrine’s abilities are what really makes her impressive:

  • Passive
    • Citrine grants nearby allies 5 health regeneration per second. Pick up a Health Orb to increase regeneration by 0.1, up to a maximum of 25.
  • Fractured Blast
    • Slash and Stagger enemies with a crystal blast that inflicts Bleed. Enemies afflicted with this Status Effect have an increased chance of dropping Health and Energy Orbs.
  • Preserving Shell
    • Citrine guards herself and nearby allies with a crystalline shell that gradually decays. Kills and assists increase the defensive power of the shell.
  • Prismatic Gem
    • Deploy a gem that shoots prismatic beams. The gem targets enemies that are taking weapon damage from Citrine and her allies. Its beams inflict Heat, Cold, Toxin, and Electricity Status Effects. Status Chance and Status Duration increase for nearby allies.
  • Crystallize
    • Citrine summons crystal fractals. The fractals rush forward, seeking enemies. Enemies touched by the fractals are paralyzed by crystalline growths. Hit the growths to deal Critical Damage.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
