Where to Find Clay in Smalland: Survive the Wilds
To find Clay in Smalland: Survive the Wilds, you must travel to the southern part of the game world and cross the river in the eastern part of the watercourse. You won’t be able to get to this place too early in the story, but once you have the winged armor, cross the river. The first place where you will find Clay is in the image above. You will find yourself on large rocky ledges overgrown with grass and moss, and you can find many round bulges on the walls. And by mining these, you will get Clay.
Since Clay is relatively late story material, you won’t be able to mine it with your hands or a primitive pickaxe. So you’ll need at least Spike Pickaxe or higher, and here’s how to craft it:
- Fiber x5
- Resin x5
- Iron Shard x5
- Refined Wood x5
Once you have collected all the Clay at the first point, search the forest and coastal locations in the southeastern part of the game world. You can find small Clay veins in stone locations throughout the southern part of the world.
How to Craft Clay Mortal in Smalland: Survive the Wilds
As we said earlier, Clay is an excellent high-level building material. But to create Clay Mortal, you need Windmill and the following materials:
- Clay x2.
- Bug’s Lymph x1. You can get Lymph by killing most bugs or ants.
It is worth noting that Clay Mortal crafting materials are not difficult to obtain, but reaching the Windmill stage is harder. So if you haven’t built your own Windmill yet, you’ll have to complete the Stonecutter, Loom, and Tannery stages and collect the following building materials:
- Refined Wood x10
- Fiber String x10
- Fiber x5
- Silk x10
