After reaching the bottom of the Saltwater Mines in Fae Farm, you’ll meet a beautiful, magical creature named Neppy. This encounter and its ensuing dialogue will initiate the quest, “A Watery Wonder,” during which you must collect several items for Neppy. One of the offerings is twenty stacks of a Prepared Ingredient called Diced Roots in Fae Farm. As you might guess, these pieces of root vegetables aren’t a basic resource you acquire simply from farming or foraging. Instead, getting Fae Farm Diced Roots involves using particular veggies at a specific Crafting Station.
How To Make a Food Prep Table in Fae Farm
To get Diced Roots in Fae Farm, you’ll need a Crafting Station called the Food Prep Table. This cutting board workstation will be the way you acquire many ingredients for the Cooking Heart and Artisan Table you’ll assemble later. The Food Prep Table is constructed with the following:
- Copper Ingot ×1
- Stone Brick ×2
- Beech Lumber ×1
- Oak Lumber ×1
Copper Ore is acquired from the early floors of the Saltwater Mines and smelted into ingots with the Stone Forge. Likewise, Stone Bricks are produced by heating stacks of Stone in the forge. The two variants of lumber are harvested from Beech and Oak Trees, which you find on both your farm and on the open map.
Your basic starter Pickaxe has no trouble mining Copper Ore. Conversely, you’ll need to upgrade your Axe to chop down Oak Trees for Oak Logs. This can be done by speaking to Cinder at her shop at the Docks. Once you have several Oak Logs, you can refine them into lumber using the Lumber Station.
How To Make a Fae Farm Diced Roots
Diced Roots can be made using a wide variety of root vegetables in Fae Farm. The most convenient veggie to use would undoubtedly be Turnips, the first crop you’ll be planting during Chapter 1. If you sold all of your Turnips from the seeds given to you, you can purchase more from Holly at the Town Center. Take your Turnips and place them on the Food Prep Table to produce Diced Roots, which can then be used to progress “A Watery Wonder.”
