If you ever played through the Hoenn generation of Pokemon games, then chances are that you know who Nuzleaf is. Being a strong little dude, it comes from the seedling Seedot and evolves into the tree-like monster Shiftry. Having these Pokemon on your team at any time is great, so we wanted to show you how to get and evolve Nuzleaf in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask.

There are two ways for you to be able to get Nuzleaf in The Teal Mask. One way is to get a Seedot and evolve it into Nuzleaf beginning at level 14, which is how we were able to do it. Alternatively, you can go and find one out in the wild by heading over to the Timeless Woods area or closer to the southeast area of the map. Once you successfully add a Nuzleaf to your party, it will be registered as number 55 just after Seedot and before Shiftry. At that point, the next step would be to evolve Nuzleaf in Violet into Shiftry, so we also wrote out how to do that below.

If you want to evolve Nuzleaf into Shiftry, just introduce the Pokemon to a Leaf Stone. If you don’t already have one or are finding it hard to obtain one for yourself, we wrote out everything you can do to get your hands one.

  • You can find a Leaf Stone on the floor randomly as a shining object.
  • You can purchase a Leaf Stone at Delibird Presents locations for 3,000 coins. These specific locations are in Cascarrafa, Levincia, and Mesagoza.
  • If you look around Tagtree Thicket, there should be one on the floor as a shining object.
  • You can receive one as a reward for completing Sunflora Hide and Seek in Cortondo after beating the Cortondo Gym.
