Do you want to know how to get Fireproof Lizards in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom? Fireproof Lizards are returning critters from Zelda Breath of the Wild. They can be pretty useful for players if they know how to get them. These critters can make Link fireproof, preventing his body from bursting into flames at locations that radiate massive heat, such as Death Mountain. However, Fireproof Lizards are extremely rare and hard to catch. Nevertheless, we have prepared a short guide that shows how to get Fireproof Lizards in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

To get Fireproof Lizards in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, players need to venture to Eldin Canyon or Eldin Mountains.

Once you spot a Fireproof Lizard, you will need to creep up to it and not scare it away to pick it up. However, if you are tired of exploring the vast world of Hyrule and want a way out of the action, there is another way to get Fireproof Lizards in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. However, this way demands money.

Head to Beedle at Woodland Stable, where you can buy as many Fireproof Lizards as possible.

Once you have Fireproof Lizards, you can make an elixir that makes Link resistant to fiery temperatures at Death Mountain and other hot locations in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

You can mix Fireproof Lizards with any monster part to create a Fireproof Elixir granting a fireproof effect for Link. You can use any monster part since it does not impact how long the elixir lasts. However, you will want to put as many as Fireproof Lizards possible to make it last longer.

To make a Fireproof Elixir with Fireproof Lizards in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you will need to place them in a Cooking Pot or use the new Zonai Device, the Portable Pot.

Surviving in Hyrule is arduous as you have plenty of foods and elixirs that provide certain buffs. If you get Fireproof Lizards, you will be a step ahead in the game and avoid bursting into flames. Moreover, your weapon won’t catch fire and break that easily. However, you will want to use other than wooden weapons in the fiery locations in Hyrule, as these don’t get fireproofed.

Also, you need to know that heat resistance and fireproofing are different. Warm Darners and Fireproof Lizards do not make the same buff.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
