Want to know how to get Flame Emitter Devices in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? It is just one of several Zonai Devices that Link can add to his inventory and attach to other objects. Flame Emitters can even be tacked onto countless weapons and shields to set enemies ablaze. That said, this powerful tool cannot be found in any of the regions within Hyrule’s world map. This guide will explain how you can discover Flame Emitter Devices and how they can be used in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

You can get Flame Emitters in Tears of the Kingdom by using particular Device Dispensers in the Sky Islands. Although, you may want to destroy enemies on the islands beforehand, as they drop Zonai Charges and Contruct Horns needed to activate the Dispensers. Keep in mind, each Device Dispenser has a different inventory of Zonai Devices. To earn Flame Emitters, you must sacrifice charges or horns at the following locations:

  • The Simosiwak Shrine Device Dispenser (located on Great Hyrule Forest Sky)
  • The Gutanbac Shrine Device Dispense (located on Great Sky Island)
  • The Nachoyah Shrine Device Dispenser (located on Great Sky Island)
  • Yansamin Shrine Device Dispenser (Located on East Necluda Sky)

It is also important to note that some Flame Emitters can be found lying around the Sky Islandsโ€”but in very limited quantities. For instance, if you’re out of charges and horns, you can find two Flame Emitters east of Gutanbac Shrine on the southeast edge of the Great Sky Island.

In terms of use, Flame Emitters will continuously spray fire once Link attaches the device to an object using Ultrahand and swings at it. However, the best way to utilize Flame Emitters is by equipping them to your weapon through the Fuse ability. Once that’s done, Link can swing his weapon of choice to spray out of a horizontal line of fire toward enemies. This move also sets any nearby grass on fire, ultimately pushing opponents away from Link. Furthermore, the Emitters are also applicable to shields. After you pull out a fused shield, it should then emit fire for more than 20 seconds per charge.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
