When you dive into the MMORPG Lost Ark, one of the many things you’ll notice is the currency. There isn’t just one type of currency in the game. So, acquiring what you need for specific items and merchants can sometimes get a bit confusing. So, we’re here to simplify some of that and highlight one type of currency: Gienah’s Coin. This is a sailing-related currency, giving you a better idea of what to do with it. Before we touch on that, we’ll show you how you can get Gienah’s Coins in Lost Ark.
How to Get Gienah’s Coins in Lost Ark
There’s no denying that Lost Ark is overflowing with content. From different character builds to locations and items, you aren’t short on things to explore and do in the game.
One such thing that can send players scrambling, however, is the currency system. If you need to focus on just sailing-related currencies, you’ll need to acquire the likes of Gienah’s Coins. Those are just one of the sailing-based currencies though, but getting them can open doors to buying things like Ship Blueprints.
So, how do you get Gienah’s Coins in Lost Ark? Well, there are a handful of ways:
- Quests (Island and Co-op)
- Trade Merchants
- Events
- Adventure Island
Quests (Island and Co-op)
A solid way to gather Gienah’s Coins is to handle island quests and co-op quests. These may actually gather you the most coins. If you venture out to the numerous islands on the map, you will notice NPCs on them with island side quests. Take these on and you can get rewarded with High Seas Coin Chests. In turn, you can use that reward to exchange for 100 Gienah’s Coins.
Co-op quests are another great way to score Gienah’s Coins in Lost Ark. Head to the location to participate in the co-op quest, but be sure you are at Level 50 as that’s the only way you can do them. Once completed, you are typically rewarded with the coins.

Trade Merchants
In your stronghold, speak to the Trade Merchants as they can sometimes have Gienah’s Coins to trade to you. Of course, you will need to gather different seals to trade with them. Note that not all of them will sell Gienah’s Coins. You might not see the coins for exchange with any of them. What a Trade Merchant has is randomized, so check back often.
Events
Keep an eye out on Lost Ark events if you want to get Gienah’s Coins. Sometimes Login Rewards, for instance, will have Sailing Coin Selection Chests. If you get it, you can choose to exchange it for 500 Gienah’s Coins.
Adventure Island
If you use Procyon’s Compass, you can find Adventure Islands. They are daily activities that have a chance of rewarding you with High Seas Coin Chests so you can get Gienah’s Coins. The compass is located to your right underneath your mini-map.
Lost Ark is available on PC.
