This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Adopt Me is filled with interesting and undeniably cute pets that can range from the type of pets you would find in your own home all the way to dragons and even chimeras. However, with such a wide variety of pets available, it can be hard to find anything more than basic pets sometimes. And honestly, no matter what game you play, the common items will be much easier to find than any of the legendary ones unless you know what you’re doing.

There are quite a few different ways you can get your hands on new pets in Adopt Me, but some of them can yield better results than others:

  • Gumball Machine Eggs
  • Trading
  • Events
  • Neon Cave
  • Log-in rewards
  • Royal Eggs

Checking out the Gumball Machine is a pretty good way to get unique pets. You can purchase themed pets with a decent chance of getting higher rarities from different regions around the world. Some of the themes in the past even included Mythic and Fossil eggs.

Trading can be a great way to get the pets you want. For the most part, you’ll be trading for pets with a similar rarity, but guess what that means? If you’ve stumbled on more than one rare pet type, you can trade it with another player for a brand-new rare pet that you didn’t previously have.

Another fantastic way to obtain great pets in Adopt Me is to participate in the various events available in the game. For instance, if you open Advent Calendar doors during a holiday event, you could get your hands on the Chrismas Pudding Pup pet, which is an Ultra-Rare pet.

If you have a ton of common pets on your hands and you’re not sure what to do with them, you can always take them to the hidden Neon Cave and turn them into a Neon Pet. This can be done if you have four full-grown pets of the same type.

Just logging into Adopt Me can net you some decent pets, especially if you have an ongoing daily streak. Every day, you get new rewards, and while some are admittedly better than others, the longer you log in every day, the better rewards you will get. You can get your hands on several different items, including money and pets.

If you really want to get a couple of good pets, head over to Sir Woofington. It might cost a bit more than purchasing Gumball Eggs, but there is a 0% chance that common pets will drop from Roayle Eggs, so you really can’t go wrong.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
