How To Get Grotesque Splinters in Warframe (Best Farms)

Grotesque is just another word for golden in this case.

The Gargoyle’s Cry Event in Warframe is less than two weeks from its scheduled end date, and that means it’s time to grab what you can in the reward pool. Before you can do that, you’ll need Grotesque Splinters in Warframe as a currency that you can use to purchase the Gargoyle’s Cry Event Rewards. As always, we’re here to help by pointing you in the right direction on the best farming method and spot for Grotesque Splinters.

Where to Farm Grotesque Splinters

There’s only one place you can obtain Grotesque Splinters in Warframe, and that would be in Effervo, Deimos. It’s the Assassination mission where you must collect Murmur Eyes before you can kill the Fragmented One boss. We have a guide for that boss here.

The Fragmented One boss has three common variants and a rare variant in the Steel Path difficulty. All of them will reward you with Grotesque Splinters once you have finished the Assassination mission.

However, the reward amount varies depending on your approach or difficulty.

Best Method to Farm Grotesque Splinters in Warframe

As for how many Grotesque Splinters you get per run in Effervo, Deimos, here’s a rough estimate:

  • 1-3 Grotesque Splinters per completed Assassination mission in Effervo (normal difficulty).
  • 3-5 Grostesque Splinters per completed Assassination mission in Effervo (Steel Path).

You can reduce your effort in farming Grotesque Splinters by 50 percent on average by just going the Steel Path route and teaming up with three other competent players. Enemies are harder here, and the Fragmented One boss also has more HP, but with any luck, you can expedite the DPS process to your teammates if you’re not confident with your weapons.

Just bring an immortal Warframe like Revenant, and you’re good to go. Make sure to revive any downed teammate if you’re not the one doing most of the damage.

If you want a Warframe that can complete the Effervo boss fight the fastest, look no further than Titania. She can just ignore the vast expanse of the Effervo tileset with her speed and flight capability. As for the weapon, stick with the Phenmor and the most powerful Primaries.

While you’re at it, you can ignore the Void Angels and their tantrums. Killing them can take a while, and you’ll only lose out Curses if you ignore Void Angels.

Avoid Fibonacci’s Bounties if You’re Going Steel Path

If you’re going to commit to the Steel Path method of farming Grotesque Splinters, just do so via the Star Chart with the Steel Path toggle.

Currently, Cavia Bounties are not available in Steel Path difficulty. So, while the other Cavia Bounty rewards might be tempting, you’ll be missing out on more Grotesque Splinters. So grit those teeth and take the harder challenge for better rewards.
