The enemies from which you can get Gundabad Slag are, funny enough, Orcs of Gundabad, found in and around Dwarrowdelf or during Horde attacks, and Sieges by Orcs of Gundabad in Return to Moria. If you have already killed the Troll King, you can find this type of enemy around the world as you travel. They are not difficult to distinguish from other enemies as, in most cases, they are dressed in black or shiny armor and are not very large.

The chance of getting a Gundabad Slag is not great, about a 10% drop rate. To make farming this resource easier, we recommend killing the Troll King. If you do so, you will encounter Orcs of Gundabad much more often and in more locations. It’s also worth noting that Orcs of Gundabad usually travel with Wargs, so be prepared to fight several types of enemies. It will take you quite a while to get this resource, but the result is worth it. Indeed, you can craft many useful items that will help you during your travels.

Once you have enough of this resource, you can turn it into Durinul Iron Ingots. This material will be indispensable for you in the following recipes:

  • Durin’s Axe
  • Durin’s Guard Shield
  • Durin’s Guard Helmet
  • Durin’s Guard Armor
  • Durin’s Gloves
  • Durin’s Guard Boots

As you can see, you will need quite a bit of Gundabad Slag to create Durinul Iron Ingots for as many as 6 recipes. If you farm this resource and make all the above items, you can significantly improve your character and his effectiveness in battles.
