The new season ofย Warzone 2 andย DMZย is here, and like usual, there are lots of changes that players will have to figure out and learn new stuff in the game. One of the new mechanics added to the game is the Heavy Chopper. Simply put, players can now use Heavy Chopper to exfil themselves without waiting for the chopper. The twist is that players must find Heavy Chopper Fuel, and here is how you can get this fuel in Warzone 2 DMZ.
Getting Heavy Chopper Fuel in DMZ
The most significant change in Warzone 2ย was the addition ofย DMZย to the game. Inspired byย Escape from Tarkov, players will be dropped onto the map, complete a series of missions, and then reach for the helicopter to get out of that place.
Inย DMZ, if you decide to complete more missions, the game will get more complicated and therefore make the exfil difficult. So Activision added a few other options for exfil in DMZ. Apart from the usual one, there is now the Private Exfill that you can buy with $50,000 that will call a helicopter in an unused location that you can exfil easily.
There is also the other option that you can use a Heavy Chopper to exfil yourself. But the twist of using a Heavy Chopper in the game is that the chopper doesn’t have any fuel, and you have to bring the fuel with you.
As you’ve already guessed, the Heavy Chopper in DMZย doesn’t use regular fuel and has a fuel of its own that you must use. The official blog post ofย DMZ says that you “must find its special fuel around the airport,” which narrows the locations you have to look for Chopper fuel.
So you have to search airports for Chopper fuel, which makes sense. But you can also find some in the cargo train as well, but the challenge and risks are much higher. That is because weapon cases and safes have also been added to the Cargo Train, which makes it a hot target. There is also a good chance other players have already grabbed the can of fuel before you have.

Once you’ve grabbed the fuel from the airport or cargo train, open your map and locate the Heavy Chopper near Hafid Port. Then use the fuel and enter the chopper and fly to any out-of-bounds area to successfully exfiltrate out of the game.
