How To Get Ingots in Palworld and Farm Ore Quickly

Burn, baby, burn.

Wood and Stone are fine for your first few projects in Palworld, but you’ll soon need Ore, Kindling, and Ingots as your crafting needs advance. Better technologies require specialized workstations as well as specialized resources, but they’re well worth the effort. Whether you’re improving your base with new buildings or making more powerful weapons, there’s a lot you can do with Ingots, even if you’re just getting started. You’re going to need a lot of them, however, so speed and efficiency are key. Here’s how to get Ingots and farm Ore quickly in Palworld.

In Palworld, you get Ingots from Ore, and you get Ore from mining the reddish, shiny rocks scattered around the world. Ore is less common than Stone, but it’s still a relatively common find, so you shouldn’t have any trouble tracking down an Ore deposit in the starting area. Like Paldium Fragments and other resources in the game, you can farm Ore just by punching the resource deposit, but that’s slow and inefficient. If you can’t get any Pals to do the task for you, you’ll at least want a Stone Pickaxe to speed the process up.

You can craft a Stone Pickaxe at the Primitive Workbench using Stone x5 and Wood x5. Keep in mind that the Pickaxe’s durability will deplete as you work and will eventually need to be repaired. Even so, using a Pickaxe is a great way to farm Ore more quickly in Palworld. It’s also advisable to research an improved Pickaxe later on if you intend to do most of your resource-gathering yourself. As always in Palworld, the best option of all is to find a Pal with the appropriate skill (in this case mining) to do the job for you. Now that you have Ore, it’s time to make Ingots, and for that you’ll need Kindling.

How To Get Kindling in Palworld

Despite the name, Kindling isn’t an item in Palworld, it’s an activity. Kindling is one of the 12 types of labor that Pals can perform. To make Ingots, you first need to build a Primitive Furnace, unlocked at Level 10 on the tech tree. Here are the ingredients you’ll need:

  • Wood x20
  • Stone x50
  • Flame Organ x3

Once your Primitive Furnace is built, you just need to set your Ore inside. Next, place a Pal capable of Kindling labor beside the Furnace. Fire-type Pals like Foxparks and Flambelle are perfect for the job, and you can find Foxparks down the hill not far from your starting area, making them easy to collect if you don’t already have one. If you aren’t sure if a Pal has Kindling, check its entry in the Paldeck and look at its Work Suitability. Once your Kindling Pal is assigned to the Primitive Furnace, they’ll automatically start melting the Ore down, and in a little while you’ll have the Ingots you need.

Palworld is available for PC in early access.
