In Tears of the Kingdom, you can use leaves like Korok Fronds to make your own Korok Fan. Tears of the Kingdom‘s Hyrule offers a bountiful amount of vegetation — bushes, pine trees, and now tree folk, too. Mother Nature is getting back at you for chopping all those trees. You’d want to get the Korok Frond in Tears of the Kingdom for several reasons. Perhaps you are a mere collectionist and need to fill out your compendium. Maybe you’re planning on cooking something up for your health. But what we’re sure will pique your interest is the Korok Fan you can make with Korok Fronds. But first, let’s get some of those in our inventory, shall we?
Where are Korok Fronds in Tears of the Kingdom?
Korok Fronds aren’t hard to come by. In fact, it’s likely you picked some up during your tutorial section. But maybe you were too overwhelmed to realize where they came from.
You can find Korok Fronds in Tears of the Kingdom lying around in areas with loads of trees.
- If you’re in the Sky, head to areas like the Great Sky Island. Mainly north of the In-isa Shrine.
- If you’re on the Surface of Hyrule, you might want to head to the Forest of Spirits, the Forest of Time, or the Dalite Forest. But, of course, any green area will do.
Once you’re there, scavenge the ground for any Tears of the Kingdom Korok Fronds. If there aren’t any — or if the ones you found simply aren’t enough — you can try your luck chopping some trees. When the log comes tumbling down, you’ll get an item. It could be the Korok Frond, or it could also be another item, such as the Hylian Pine Cone.
While you’re hunting for Korok Fronds, keep your eyes peeled for any tree folk in the surroundings. If you spot one, either try your luck at taking it down or flee the area.
How to Make the Korok Fan
The Korok-Frond Guster is Link’s DIY fan. If you need to compare it to something, it’s just like Breath of the Wild’s Korok Leaf. Instead, now, you need to get crafty to enjoy its benefits. Follow these steps to make a Korok fan in Tears of the Kingdom.
- Find both a Korok Frond and a Tree Branch.
- Place the Korok Frond on the ground.
- Equip the Tree Branch as your primary weapon.
- Activate your Fuse ability, select the Korok Frond and apply it on the Tree Branch.
If you’re a Zonai Device hater (how come?), you can now enjoy the benefits of fans without having to gamble for it.
