Want to know how to get Larvitar Claw in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? Hunting hundreds of unique Pokémon is a good experience, but the game is full of items, materials, and mechanics to make your pocket monsters more powerful. And if you want to teach your Pokémon a couple of new moves, you must craft a definite TM. There are over 170 TMs in the game, and each has a unique recipe that requires materials and in-game currency. One of the most controversial materials is Larvitar Claw. But if you want that stuff, our guide is here to show you how to get Larvitar Claw in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
How to Get Larvitar Claw in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
To get Larvitar Claw in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you must defeat or capture Larvitar, Pupitar, and Tyranitar in their habitats. After each victory, you will receive from 1 to 3 Larvitar Claws, so you will quickly accumulate as much as you need. As for the location of these Pokémon, everything here is quite interesting.
Baby Larvitar has small habitats throughout the Paldea region, so you might accidentally run into one of them while traveling. Growing up and evolving into Pupitar, they migrate to the southwestern part of Paldea. Here they spend their days in the form of a chrysalis and warming their shells under the sun’s rays. But as soon as they evolve into Tyranitar, they disappear from the map, and you can only meet them during raids. To sum up, you can defeat Larvitar, Pupitar, and Tyranitar in the following locations:
- Larvitar: East Province (Area Three), South Province (Area Three, Five, and Six), West Province (Area One), Glaseado Mountain, Tagtree Thicket.
- Pupitar: South Province (Area Six).
- Tyranitar: Raid.
Like any other Pokemon in the game, Larvitar and its subsequent forms have weaknesses and strengths, and you should take this into account during the battle. Rock and Ground-type Pokémon, Larvitar, Pupitar, and Tyranitar are weak against Water and Grass-type moves and take 4x damage from these. In addition, using Ice, Fighting, Ground, and Steel-type attacks is also a good idea as these attacks deal 2x damage to them. At the same time, you shouldn’t use Poison and Electric-type moves. Poison-type is only 0.25x effective, and these Pokémon are immune to Electric-type attacks.

How to Use Larvitar Claw in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Unfortunately, Larvitar Claw is not included in any TM recipe. It is a bit strange, given that Larvitar is a pretty strong Pokémon with good moves. However, it is probably better for game developers to know whether or not to use the material. In addition, after collecting some Larvitar Claw, you can sell them for 100 LP or 50 Money. So to call this material useless will not work.
