Those eager to unlock new classes or items in For the King 2 must hunt for Lore Books. This currency returns from the first game and works exactly the same. You obtain Lore Books by playing the game, then spend them on the Lore Store to enhance your following adventures, making them much easier. However, finding the right way to get these books fast and easy might be challenging, and that’s why a few tips to get them quicker go a long way.
To get Lore Books in the game, there are two fool-proof methods that don’t take a lot of time, and they might give you a good payout depending on the difficulty you’re playing at. Since you can customize most things in your run to get more Lore Books, the amount you get will vary depending on the player. Still, we’ll focus on those playing in the Apprentice difficulty with no custom settings.
Main Quests
The easiest way to get Lore Book in For the King 2 is by following the main quest. In any chapter, you’ll get a main quest that usually has a timer, and you must complete it before the campaign gets more challenging. If you want to get Lore Books fast, rush the main story, and you’ll get a few. During the first chapter, we got 5 Lore Books after completing the main mission.
Dungeons
Since everything in the game is randomized, this method depends on your luck. During your travels, you might encounter a few dungeons on the map. These usually have different stages and floors you must clear before getting your payout. However, at the end of the enjoy, you’ll find a chest containing items and Lore Books. When we did our first dungeon as a team, we received 6 Lore Books from clearing this instance.
While you can increase the number of Lore Books you earn in For the King 2 by pumping up the difficulty, we don’t recommend it. It’s much better to play the game in the easiest difficulty, get as many books as possible from your first campaign, and then spend them to make your next adventure easier. That’s the usual gameplay loop from these titles and the one we recommend getting. Otherwise, you’ll be facing tougher enemies and might lose your campaign’s progress without getting any currency.
