Those lucky enough to have ventured into the mid-zone of Pacific Drive will encounter new materials, such as Marsh Eggs. These little reagents are necessary to upgrade better equipment and make your road trips much easier. However, the game doesn’t make things easy for you. While you can find certain materials inside buildings and by scrapping objects, the little eggs are scattered deep within the game’s swamps, and you’ll need some off-road driving skills to reach them.

You might’ve seen that certain advanced crafting recipes in Pacific Drive, such as the Blowtorch, require Marsh Eggs. However, before you even attempt to get them, you must progress through the game’s main story. This will take a few hours and road trips, but once you’re ready to hit the mid-zone, these materials will be within your reach. To find them easily, follow these steps:

  1. Head to any mid-zone route.
    • You must select the one that has “The Mires” on it, which indicates you’re going to a new biome.
  2. If possible, craft off-road tires before hitting the road.
  3. Once in it, head to the areas with water and look for the giant red bulbs, as shown in the above image.
  4. You’ll find a good number of Marsh Eggs around them. They don’t take a lot of inventory space, so loot them all.

While you can spot the places where Marsh Eggs spawn, you’ll likely need several runs before you can craft anything that requires this material. So far, we’ve found Marsh Eggs useful to craft a Blowtorch. This new survival tool is a considerable upgrade and makes the Repair Putty useless. So, if you’re not a careful driver or route conditions are getting tough, grabbing some eggs to create a better repair tool is worth it.

Also, remember to check the description of each route before heading there. We recommend picking one with a high material count to increase your chances of getting eggs. If you don’t pick one like that, you’ll just waste a lot of gasoline and potentially jeopardize your vehicle. So, plan carefully before hitting the gas.
