To obtain Mortal Kombat 1 early access, you have to purchase either of the following editions:

  • Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition
  • Mortal Kombat 1: Kollector’s Edition.

By acquiring either of the aforementioned editions, you gain the privilege of accessing the game a full five days ahead of its official launch. With Mortal Kombat 1 set to make its global debut on September 19, 2023, this equates to an exciting opportunity to dive into the action starting from September 14, 2023, at 10am PDT/12pm CDT/ 1pm EDT.

A mere few weeks have passed since the closure of Mortal Kombat 1‘s beta phase, during which NetherRealm Studio allowed numerous players to experience the game firsthand. With this phase now behind us, the path to acquiring Mortal Kombat 1 lies solely through the purchase of the premium edition.

Now, let’s delve into the question of pocket spending. The Mortal Kombat 1 premium edition comes with a price tag of $109.99, whereas the standard edition is available for $69.99. Undoubtedly, there exists a substantial price disparity, prompting the question of what benefits the premium edition brings to the table. So, we have listed out what you can expect from the premium edition.

  • The Premium Edition includes the Kombat Pack, which gives you access to six new playable characters, five new Kameo characters, and an exclusive Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny Cage.
  • The Premium Edition also includes 1,250 Dragon Krystals, which are the in-game currency that can be used to purchase in-game cosmetics.
  • Last is most obvious, the five-day early access.

Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to purchase the Premium Edition is up to you. If you are on a budget or are not sure if you will like the game, then the Standard Edition is a good option.
