How to Get Orokin Catalyst in Warframe (Orokin Catalyst Farm)

AKA Blue Potato

Your Warframe‘s abilities can only carry you so far, and you’ll eventually need to revert to the good old-fashioned pew pew or the language of lead slugs. But for your weapon to keep up with the intergalactic arms race, you would also need to give it some tender loving care in the form of Orokin Catalysts. These upgrade materials will double your weapons’ Mod capacity, leading to even more firepower. And to help you afford all the firepower you can have in Warframe, here’s how to get and farm the Orokin Catalyst.

The Best Way to Farm Orokin Catalyst in Warframe

Since there are more weapons than Warframes in Warframe, and you usually would have a ratio of 3:1 (weapons to Warframe) for each loadout, you need more Orokin Catalysts than Orokin Reactos. Thus, you shouldn’t spend or farm for Orokin Catalysts the same way you do Orokin Reactors, otherwise, you might run out of currency for other upgrade materials.

Here’s what I recommend as the ideal method for farming Orokin Catalysts: trading Prime Parts for Platinum and using Platinum to purchase the Orokin Catalysts.

  1. Run some Lith/Meso/Neo Void Relics and try to get cheap Prime Parts (bronze rarity).
  2. Sell the Prime Parts to other players via Trade Chat or through other trading methods.
  3. Once you have at least 20 Platinum, go to the in-game Market and purchase the Orokin Catalyst.

This method is more consistent than Nightwave, which is great since you can then free up those Nightwave Creds for Orokin Reactor or Nitain instead. However, if you only need one Orokin Catalyst badly, then you feel free to chip away at your Nightwave Cred– it will cost 75 Cred, however.

Relics, meanwhile, are easier to obtain, and you can even get some of them passively by opening up Relic Packs. If you find that no one wants to trade or if you run out of Relics, don’t worry as there are alternative Orokin Catalyst farming methods.

Orokin Catalyst Blueprint Farms

This is for Blueprints, by the way, so even if you stockpile a bunch of them, you still need to craft them. However, while they’re less consistent because some of them rely on RNG, the following activities can be an infinite pool of Orokin Catalyst Blueprints.

Activity (Availability)Reward Mode
Sorties (daily)RNG/Random
Daily Tribute (login, rare)RNG/Random
Archon HuntsRNG/Random
Nightwave Cred Offerings (permanent)Guaranteed for 75 Cred
