Final Fantasy 16 may not have the rich and deep RPG elements of previous games in the series, but they are still present. That means you must play and explore to upgrade equipment or find the best items in the game. Belts are among the most important items in the game that you carry with you to hold your sword and other items. Ouroboros is the best belt in Final Fantasy 16, and here is the guide on how to get it in the game.

Ouroboros is the best belt you can obtain in Final Fantasy 16. For this reason, it is also one of the hardest to get. You have to complete three side quests to gain the Design Craft of this unique belt. These three sidequests are Blacksmith’s Blues I, II, and III.

To start the Blacksmith’s Blues I, you must speak with August first. He will tell you to talk to Blackthorne and see what is troubling him. He will ask you to speak with Charon near her shop. Then go near the hunt board and speak to Nektar. Select the ‘Ask about griffin sightings’ and then go to Caer Norvent West Gate to slay Dozmare the Griffin. After defeating the griffin, speak with the injured man in the bushes and then return to talk to Blackthorne. With that, this quest is done.

Then, as part of the Out of the Shadow main quest, you will receive a letter from August asking you to help Blackthorne once again. That’s where the Blacksmith’s Blues II quest starts. First, you must speak with the Blackthorne at his usual spot and then to Charon. Then you will be tasked to go to The Dalimil Inn. Go inside and head upstairs to trigger the cutscene. Then you have to travel to The Velkroy Desert. Once you reach there, you have to face a group of bandits. After you’ve defeated them, retrieve Ignac’s stolen items and bring them back to Blackthorne to complete this quest.

The last part of this sidequest will be available once A Song of Hope main quest is unlocked. Once again, speak with August, and he will ask to help Blackthorne again. Speak with the blacksmith to learn how you can help him. Then follow the marker on your map, and you can fast-travel to Tabor to make the way shorter. Once you get close, a cutscene will be played. Once again, follow the marker on your map to find Zoltan. Then you will see yet another cutscene, and you must speak back to Blackthorne. He will ask you to slay a desert salamander this time and bring him the beast’s skin.

You can find and fight a desert salamander in the Fields of Corava. Once you are done playing, head back to Dravoz to speak with Blackthorne. Afterward, you head to The Hideaway and talk to him once again to finish his quest line. Once all three quests of Blacksmith’s Blues are complete, you will be rewarded with Ouroboros Belt.

You need 1 Stone Tongue, 1 Comet Feather, and 1 Orichalcum to build this unique belt. Stone Tongue is dropped by the notorious mark Agni, Comet Feather by the notorious mark Dread Comet, and Orichalcum by the notorious mark Atlas, Svarog, and Behemoth King.

Final Fantasy 16 is now only available for PlayStation 5.
