The Punching Glove is a Battle Item in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that bolsters the power of its wielder’s punching Moves and prevents direct contact with targets. For clarification, Fighting-type pocket monsters are the creatures that generally are equipped with punching Moves for combat. Accordingly, the Punching Glove increases the damage output of these Fighting-type Pokémon while also preventing them from touching their opponent. This mechanic can come in handy when battling foes that can deal damage whenever the players’ pocket monsters execute a physical attack. Unlocking the Punching Glove in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Punching Glove NPC Location in Pokémon Scarlet Violet

To unlock Punching Glove in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, players have two options. First, they can complete a challenge regarding Trainer Battles in East Province (Area Three). Alternatively, players can purchase the Battle Item from the Delibird Presents in Mesagoza once they have acquired a certain number of Gym Badges.

The first method for obtaining the Punching Glove in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet involves defeating NPC Trainers found across Area Three of the East Province in Paldea. For reference, this area is located on the east side of the world map, north of the coastal city of Levincia. According to Game8, there are over a dozen Trainers dotted across the region, meaning that players should have no trouble finding and defeating seven NPCs to fulfill the challenge. Once the feat has been accomplished, head to the settlement of Zapapico. Speak with the Battle League Rep near the Pokémon Center to receive a free Punching Glove in Paldea.

The second way to get a Punching Glove is by purchasing one from the Battle Items section in the Mesagoza Delibird Presents shop. This product will set players back a hefty ₽15,000. However, this item is not available for purchase from the start of the game. Trainers must first earn four Gym Badges by defeating Gym Leaders throughout Paldea. After obtaining these badges, they can visit Delibird Presents in Mesagoza and make their acquisition of the Battle Item. It should be noted that which Gym Badges players obtain or the order they are acquired is not significant for unlocking the Punching Glove.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch.
