To truly personalize a weapon in Warframe, the ultimate customization you could add (apart from making a gun look like a rainbow Dalmatian) is through Riven mods. Only then can you truly say that the weapon build is legitimately “yours.” Riven Mods also save mod slots on top of making most weapons overpowered (with the right bonuses). If you’re a newbie, time to get in on the power creep craze. Here’s how to get Riven mods in Warframe fast and easy(ish).
Farming Riven Mods in Warframe
We count four methods of acquiring Riven mods in a rather consistent way. One of them is faster or easier than others though you will want to shake up the monotony by trying out other methods interchangeably.
It’s also worth noting that in some of the methods we’ll detail, Riven mod rewards are given out randomly. They might be for Shotguns, Companions, Rifles, Secondaries, etc. You’ll get them through these farming methods for Riven mods.
Easiest Way is to Buy Them from Acrythis (Defeat the Orowyrm)
Acrithis has introduced one of the easiest ways to farm Riven mods in Warframe at the moment. The merchant appears in the Duviri Palace every time you defeat the Orowyrm, waiting for you to purchase something with Pathos Clamps. That usually means you have to finish a session of either:
- The Lone Story (10 Pathos Clamp / 15 for Steel Path)
- The Duviri Experience (10 Pathos Clamp / 15 for Steel Path)
The Riven mods from Acrythis are each priced at 15 Pathos Clamps, except the Companion Weapon Riven Mod, which costs 20 Pathos Clamps.
Actually, you don’t have to defeat the Orowyrm with each purchase attempt. Acrithis also appears in the Dormizone area, but you have to have Pathos Clamps at the ready, which means you will still need to put the work into defeating the Orowyrm prior.
It’s also important to note that Acrithis’ stock rotates randomly per week and there might be instances when she doesn’t have Riven mods in stock.
Alternatives are Steel Path Circuit, Palladino, & Sorties
You can also try out your luck elsewhere if Acrithis doesn’t have what you want. Steel Path Circuit usually has at least on Riven mod in the reward track available though you will have to fervently grind for it.
You can also buy a couple of random Riven mods per week from Palladino in Iron Wake, Earth if you have Riven Slivers which can drop from Eximus enemies. But to unlock this special merchant, you must finish the Chains of Harrow quest.
Finally, we have Sorties which you can try out everyday, but the reward pool is too random to be reliable. You might not get Riven mods at all or at least once every day depending on your luck.
