You can get shielded cargo capacity in Starfield from Lon Anderssen at Porrima III at Porrima  Star System. He has a variety of shielded cargoes with different volumes varying from 750 to 2600. Below are the steps you need to follow.

  1. Go to the Porrima III in Porrima Star System.
  2. Go to the Gambling Settlement, the Red Mile.
  3. Go from the front door and visit Lon Anderssen. After some discussion, he will agree to show you the ship parts he is selling.
  4. Enter ship builder mod, go to the cargo section, and scroll down until you see the shielded cargo section.
  5. Purchase your desired cargo and place it next to your ship.
  6. Take off your current cargo hold and put the new one in place.
  7. Delete the old cargo hold, and your inventory will transfer to the new cargo.
  8. Exit the builder.

Even though this is the easiest way to get a shielded cargo, you can also get one from stealing ships in Starfield. But still, it comes with a risk, and you should be aware of the consequences. However, remember, you will only have around a 60% chance of evading the scan from the shielded cargo. If you need to increase this percentage, add scan jammers. Lon Anderssen also sells scan jammers, and they will increase your chances of evading scans.

Also, if the weight of the contraband you are carrying on the ship is near the volume of the shielded cargo, there is a high chance you will be detected. So, ensure your cargo weight isn’t higher than the volume of the shielded cargo.

You need to take these steps to get shielded cargo capacity in Starfield. This new upgrade allows you to explore and trade more efficiently without worrying about anyone intercepting your goods. Getting shielded cargo capacity in Starfield can increase your smuggling success rate significantly. But remember, never underestimate the security’s scanning power, and always remain vigilant when entering any star system.
