Where to Find the Ancient Stone Key in Genshin Impact
Although the Sumeru Desert was added back in patch 3.4, until recently, players could not get the mysterious Ancient Stone Key. Everything changed after February 6th. And all the adventurers finally can enter the half-buried sand door beckoning travelers south of the Tanit Camps.
To get the Ancient Stone Key in Genshin Impact, complete most of the desert story and the ‘Her Foes Rage Like Great Waters…’ questline. But before that, you must complete a prerequisite, so let’s start with that. If you are new to the Sumeru Desert, you should complete four quests from The Dirge of Bilqis to Apocalypse Lost. You will then unlock the new quest chain ‘Her Foes Rage Like Great Waters…’ and must complete three mini-quests, the last of which is For Her Judgment Reaches to the Skies…

Once you’ve met these requirements, teleport to the Statue of the Seven in the Tanit Camps. Examine the upper right corner of the carpet next to the Matriarch Babel. The shiny key is visible from afar, so you won’t miss it.
Once you get the Ancient Stone Key, head to the southern part of Tanit Camps and open the ancient door. Inside you can find some valuables and four lucrative chests. Each chest contains 50,000 Mora, which is quite a good reward even for experienced players. In general, this is a relatively easy loot, so go and get all the Sumeru Desert treasures as quickly as possible.
