This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

If you’re looking for a sleek, sci-fi blade to cleave your enemies in twain inย Remnant 2, consider searching for the Atom Splitter. With a base Damage of 100 and a Critical Hit Chance of 5%, this Melee Weapon is imbued with a powerful AoE called Fission Strike. When you perform Neutral Evade Attacks, the blade emits charged projectiles, dealing 150 damage to targets within 20 meters. Such an effect can come in handy when trying to simultaneously shake off multiple close-rangeย enemies inย Remnant 2.ย

Unfortunately, reaching the Atom Splitter’s location in Remnant 2 is easier said than done. No elite mobs or bosses obstruct your path to this Melee Weapon. Instead, you’ll need to clear a wonky platforming challenge, which can quickly become a headache to find and complete it. It can appear in the Vault of the Formless or The Putrid Domain of the world, N’Erud. However, the spot where the weapon is hidden will appear identical, visually speaking.

The place you’re looking for in these two areas is within the giant hatchery-like chamber with an electrical fog looming overhead. It’s where huge three-digit claws descend and rearrange the compartments from which N’Erud Zombies often spawn. Explore the area and search for an elevated drop-off point where the claws will pull up a platform you can land on. You’ll know it’s the right place when you see a collapsed walkway leading to a hidden area above.

What you must do is wait for the claws to come down, after which you should immediately leap out onto the platform as it ascends. It might take several failed attempts, resulting in multiple fatal descents into the abyss, so make sure you’ve activated the nearest Checkpoint. Once you’ve successfully landed on the moving claw’s chambers, don’t get too comfortable yet.

After a second or two of going upward:

  1. Turn around and face the opposite direction.
  2. When you see the collapsed walkway pass your vision, immediately jump again to land at the secret entrance to the Atom Splitter’s location inย Remnant 2.
  3. Be careful not to hurdle too late; otherwise, you might die from fall damage.

Once inside the room, fall through the open spot on the floor to the lower level, where you’ll find the Atom Splitter inย Remnant 2. As mentioned above, this secret location can be in either Vault of the Formless or The Putrid Domain dungeon. If you’re struggling to find it, consider rerolling your world in Adventure Mode.
