How To Get The Best Early Game Naoe Legendary Armor in Assassin’s Creed Shadows – Tools Master Armor

A deadly tool

Assassin’s Creed Shadows has reduced the number of legendary items, but the ones that appear include some of the most OP perks and skills in the game. One example is the Tools Master Armor that lets Naoe perform a pseudo-double assassination from a distance. As long as you have the right perks and tools, you’ll be able to take two enemies down quickly, and the best thing about it is that they don’t need to be close to each other.

Obtaining the Tools Master Armor

Similar to other legendary items in the game, the Tools Master Armor comes from the Katano Castle legendary chest. You need to enter this place, eliminate the samurai, and climb all the way to the top of the building to loot the container. By doing so, you’ll get the Tools Master Armor, but most importantly, the engraving, which is the “Throw a Kunai at the closest enemy after an assassination.”

In our case, we used this armor alongside another perk, especially since this set focuses on increasing your damage with tools. Assuming you’re not using guaranteed assassinations, tool damage is always welcome, especially when throwing the Kunai after killing someone. If you’re adding an engraving to your armor, anything with extra tool damage will work, but you can also go with a stealth-oriented engraving, like the one from the Yurei-walker set.

Triggering the Armor’s Effect

The bread and butter of the armor is its innate skill, which lets you throw a Kunai at an enemy after you assassinate another. However, triggering it is a bit weird. After some experimentation, we noticed that the effect doesn’t always trigger.

First, the skill doesn’t seem to trigger if the enemy is too far away. This should be obvious, but if you are killing someone and the next enemy is inside a building, don’t expect Naoe to pull out a homing Kunai.

Second, the skill seems to trigger often if an enemy is about to see you after an assassination. For example, before unlocking the double assassinations with a tanto, if you kill an enemy that’s standing close to another, Naoe will always launch her Kunai.

Overall, this is a useful skill to have around, especially when you upgrade your tool damage. There might be a few cases when a double assassination doesn’t work or an enemy is about to catch you. A Kunai to the face is the fastest solution, and this armor does it for you. Just make sure to have a full stock of Kunai before engaging.
