The Big Battle Bear mount is now available in World of Warcraft for players who have an Amazon Prime account. This marks the second time that Blizzard has given away a rare mount from the discontinued Trading Card Game. This has been a controversial decision in the past as these mounts go for hundreds of dollars online and are very rare to see. Nevertheless, fans have from now until April 27 to claim the Big Battle Bear mount through Prime Gaming Rewards. Why is this mount as rare as it is? Keep reading to find out.
Big Battle Bear mount now a Prime Gaming reward in WoW
The World of Warcraft Trading Card Game ended many years ago. During its run, players could collect physical rare cards that came with scratch codes for rewards in the MMO. The Big Battle Bear mount was one such reward. These goodies can be sold on the Auction House, and a lot of players have taken to the internet to purchase them for a high price because they are no longer easily obtainable.
Back in December, Blizzard offered a similar TCG mount, the Feldrake, via a Twitch Drop. Some fans didn’t appreciate their rare and expensive mount becoming a common sight overnight. This hasn’t let the company stop them, however, and the Big Battle Bear is now getting the same treatment. There are plenty of other bear mounts obtainable in Azeroth, but none of them are as rare as seeing an old TCG reward.
Players who wish to claim the Big Battle Bear mount just need to have an active Amazon Prime account and visit the rewards section to have it unlocked in World of Warcraft. It is uncertain if anymore discontinued mounts will be offered in the future, but the likelihood is rising now that Blizzard has done it again.
