In Square Enix’s latest RPG title Octopath Traveler 2, you can equip your party members with various items to boost their skills. One of the most useful ones is XP booster equipment that can let you farm XP and level fast. This Octopath Traveler 2 guide will help you locate and get the Brooch of Joy Accessory. Keep in mind that there’s a minor story spoiler in this article.
Octopath Traveler 2 – How to Get the Brooch of Joy
“Equip effect: Receive additional EXP and JP.”
You can get the Brooch of Joy after you have finished Castti Florenz‘s story until Chapter 5. Yep, that means, unfortunately, you cannot acquire the item in the early game and you might already level up your party to around level 40, considering all of the characters’ Final Chapters will have tough enemies and bosses.
With her storyline coming to an end, go back to Winterbloom to meet Melia. Depending on your status in the “Melia’s Next Chapter” Side Story quest, she can either be found in her house or in the greenhouse, in the northwestern part of Winterbloom. You can take on a new side quest from Melia, but that is not why you are here. Instead, use Throne’s Steal Path Action to steal the Brooch of Joy from Melia.
While it is a terrible thing to do (especially considering how Castti and Melia’s story goes), thankfully, stealing the Brooch of Joy does not seem to impact the game’s plot anyway. With that in mind, just do whatever you think is best: get the Brooch so you can easily farm XPs, or let the Brooch be. Do note that the XP and JP boost of Brooch of Joy can stack with other items, so yeah, I think it is pretty tempting to grab the item and just run with it!
