Golden Egg in Vampire Survivors
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

A useful Item Pickup that will permanently enhance your character during a run in Vampire Survivors is the Golden Egg. Upon pickup, this item will immediately bolster the value of a random stat, such as Max Health, Movement Speed, or Luck. According to the item’s in-game description, the stat increase is only a “tiny amount,” meaning that the changes your character will receive from a single egg will be minuscule. On the other hand, the Golden Egg can become exponentially beneficial if you manage to collect or buy multiple during a single Stage run. Continue reading to learn more about how to obtain this unique Item Pickup.

Obtaining the Golden Egg in Vampire Survivors

Buying a Golden Egg in Vampire Survivors from the Merchant

You are several options for obtaining the Golden Egg Item Pickup in Vampire Survivors. The first and most convenient method is by purchasing the egg from the Merchant, who will sell the item at a fixed cost of 10,000 Gold. The advantage of this source is that there is no limit regarding how many Golden Eggs you can buy.

According to sources at the Vampire Survivors Wiki, another way to get Golden Eggs in Vampire Survivors is by slaying specific enemies. For instance, you can get one egg by slaying a Masked Guardian or Moon Guardian, enemies that you can encounter in Moongolow, the same stage where you first find the Merchant. Alternatively, if you are equipped with Infinite Corridor or Crimson Shroud and manage to kill Death, you will receive five Golden Eggs. However, both of these methods are situation-specific, meaning that you cannot repeat it multiple times compared to buying from the Merchant’s stock. Therefore, we recommend that you focus on spending gold at the Merchant for your supply of Golden Eggs in Vampire Survivors.

If you are new to Vampire Survivors, you can unlock the Merchant for all Stages by purchasing his Glass Vizard for 10,000 Gold. If you do not buy this item, this NPC vendor will stay in Moonglow forever. If you have yet to unlock Moonglow, you will need to defeat the bosses that appear at the 25-minute mark in four Normal Stages. This achievement unlocks their Hyper Modes. Once four Stages’ Hyper Modes have been unlocked, you will gain access to Moonglow.

Vampire Survivors is available on Android, iOS, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and PC.
