On the bright side, you’ll get an exclusive item, so you may want to bring a few friends to ensure your victory!
How To Unlock The Hunt: First Edition Badge in Survive the Killer
With that said and done, in order to obtain The Hunt badge in Survive the Killer, there are three requirements:
- You need to play as a survivor.
- You have to locate and pick up an Energy Core.
- Bring the Energy Core back to the Lobby and insert it into the generator.
In the event you get picked to be the killer, you’re welcome to ditch the map or wait until the next round. Only survivors can pick up the Energy Cores.
Speaking of which, Energy Cores are giant batteries scattered across every map, so it doesn’t matter which map you choose. Furthermore, several Energy Cores spawn, but you only need to find one. Also, more than one survivor can pick up the same core. There’s no need to fight!
As to where you’ll find them, it’s rather random. I suggest looking in houses; that’s where I found mine. You just need to get close to the core, and you’ll automatically pick it up. Once you do, you need to stay alive and escape. If the killer gets you before you bounce, you lose the Energy Core.
Assuming you survive, you’ll find a large generator back at the Lobby. Simply walk up to the control panel, the Energy Core is taken, and The Hunt badge in Survive the Killer is yours. Additionally, you’ll receive the time-limited Electro-Slycer knife.
