While exploring the wacky world of High on Life, players will eventually discover walls with magnetic plating that can be walked on using special equipment known as Mag Boots. As its name suggests, Mag Boots are “magnetic” boots capable of traversing magnetic surfaces. As a result, users will be able to reach areas that might have previously been inaccessible. Typically, players need to use Knifey’s grappling ability to reach certain spots in the environment, but the Mag Boots allow fans to reach new places that lack any grapple points. Continue reading to learn how to acquire these special boots in High on Life.

To unlock the Mag Boots equipment in High on Life, players must start the Bounty mission for Dr. Giblets, who should be the fourth or fifth target that players take on during their playthrough. After getting through the slums of Blim City, players will eventually reach the High on Life store.

According to gameplay footage by YouTuber Karpo Gaming, players will encounter a dead body outside the High on Life store entrance. This body can be found once fans have finished their business within the shop, meaning that the body will not appear before the crowd of customers has made their way into the establishment. The corpse will be lying in the middle of the walkway, making it impossible to miss. Accordingly, players must approach the body and speak with the dead NPC’s friend standing nearby. Once the side character finishes their rant, High on Life users can loot the Mag Boots off of the corpse to use for themselves. This action also unlocks the “RIP Davey Glutes” achievement in High on Life.

To use the Mag Boots in High on Life, players must press the LB button to climb and walk on magnetic surfaces. Fortunately, players do not need to wait long to test out their new footwear. After picking up the boots from the dead body, players will find a wall with lots of magnetic plating to the left of the walkway near the High on Life store. After scaling the wall, players can make their way to their next destination during the Dr. Giblets Bounty.

High on Life is available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
