No Man’s Sky is a unique space survival RPG with a procedurally generated world. And although the start of the game was not very good, with each new update, it got better and better. But even now, developers will add new updates and content to the game. For example, in the latest Echoes update, No Man’s Sky has a brand new Multi-Tool that every player can customize however they want. So, read on to learn how to get the Staff Multi-Tool in No Man’s Sky.

First of all, you should know that you won’t be able to get your hands on the new Multi-Tool at the start of the game, as it was only recently added. Therefore, you need to progress until you unlock the Echoes update content. After that, start the They Who Returned quest to find the parts needed for the Staff Multi-Tool in No Man’s Sky:

  1. Charge up the Polyphonic Core and use it while you’re at it to find the Autophage camp location. It is worth noting that it does not matter on which system you will use the item since you can find Autophage camp everywhere.
  2. Then, fly to the planet with the marker.
  3. Arriving at the place, you will find a burning fragment of the ship. Use your scanner to find the Autophage camp and new NPCs.

The Robotic Autophage is a mysterious robot race that was added to the game with the Echoes update. Each of them can give you quests and reward Void Motes. You will have to farm quite a lot of this currency to purchase parts of your future Staff Multi-Tool.

Players can also find the Autophage Synthesis Terminal in the Autophage camp. This “shop” sells various cosmetic items and Staff parts. It is also worth noting that you can find different parts in different camps. After purchasing them, interact with the Terminal and select the Staff assembly tab. Select the Components you like and click Assemble to create a Staff Multi-Tool in No Man’s Sky.

That’s all you need to know about how to get the Staff Multi-Tool in No Man’s Sky. The new Multi-Tool will make your gameplay even more diverse, so follow our tips to unlock it as soon as possible. In the meantime, please take a look at our guide on how to start the Echoes Story.
