The Stone Edge TM is an excellent way to give one’s Pokémon an “edge” in battle against Fire-, Ice-, Flying-, and Bug-type opponents in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This Rock-type Move deals a high-damage to a single target that has a chance to inflict a critical hit, similar to Air Cutter or Cross Chop. Sudowoodo is capable of learning Stone Edge by default, but other pocket monsters, like Donphan, Krookodile, or Quagsire, will need to learn this Rock-type Move through its TM. To get this TM recipe, players must complete a challenge in Area One of the North Province.
Unlocking Stone Edge TM 150 in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The Stone Edge TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet can be obtained from the Pokémon League Rep stationed at the North Province (Area One) Pokécenter. Once players have defeated 6 NPC Trainers within the region, this League Rep will grant the TM recipe to players as a reward for their effort.
There are a total of eleven Trainers that players can find and beat within Area One of the North Province. Players can defeat the Trainers in any order, but keep in mind that all of them are leveled around Level 49 and 50. Taking on these opponents at an under-leveled state is not ideal for victory. Nevertheless, to get started, participants can head south of the region’s Pokécenter to find Backpacker Julio and his Fire-type Flareon, located on the southern side of the rock formation south of the Pokécenter. Suppose players continue further southward into the valley. In that case, they will eventually encounter Aleix the Student, who possesses a Lokix and Talonflame, and Pedro the Student, a Trainer with Oranguru and Glalie.
Players can find Hiker Yanira north of the Pokécenter with her Lv. 47 Krookodile. If participants go east of the hiker’s location, they will encounter Guillermo the Poké Maniac beneath a large tree. This Trainer might be a challenge, as they possess Pupitar, Eelektross, and Slowbro. The remaining Trainers for the Stone Edge TM challenge in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet can be found further east by the unnamed lake. Victoria the Student stands slightly northwest of the lake, while there are three more Trainers near the lake’s center on the islands and northern shore. After defeating six in Area 1, players can return to the League Rep for their TM reward.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch.
