On top of all the sacred power you already hold over your Followers as the Crown Bearer, the Sins of the Flesh Update now lets you play “dress up” with your devotees by changing their clothes. This feature is available via a structure called the Tailor, a shop for crafting and assigning various cosmetic attire to members of your congregation. Your selection of robes is limited at first, but you can unlock more by finding blueprints during your crusades and/or purchasing the Sinful Pack DLC. That said, Cotton is one of the main resources you’ll need to craft most of these outfits at the Tailor in Cult of the Lamb.
How To Unlock the Cult of the Lamb Tailor
The Tailor becomes available in the Cult of the Lamb in the building tree after you’ve watched the church cutscene added by the Sins of the Flesh Update. The new structure can then be constructed with 20 Silk Thread and 8 Gold Bars. Once you place it down, you can get started on styling out your favorite devotees. Do note that you can only craft one outfit for one Follower at a time.
Where To Find Cotton in Cult of the Lamb
Not all of the outfits at the Tailor require Cotton, but rest assured, you’ll need a lot if you plan on crafting all the robes. There are three ways to get Cotton in Cult of the Lamb:
- Find a Cotton farm node during a crusade. This will appear as a possible resource location you can visit on the randomized map during your adventures, the same as Mushrooms, Flowers, or Hops.
- Buy Cotton Seeds from Rakshasa, the rainbow shrimp vendor who sets up shop outside Anchordeep’s door after you’ve encountered them during a prior crusade.
- Receive Cotton from your Followers as an offering via an Offering Statue; this is how I was able to collect my first batch of Cotton.
How To Craft Outfits
Crafting clothes is simple; you complete a minigame that reminds me of one of the fishing minigames in Dredge. It will be worn by the Follower you assign it to, and you can customize its colors at no resource cost.
