Introduced in Patch 6.25, The Sil’dihn Subterrane is a brand-new Level 90 Variant Dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker that offers unique loot for players, such as the Wow Emote. While this Emote is a new collectible for adventurers, it is not entirely “new” to the game, as G’raha has used the Wow Emote previously in Endwalker cutscenes. Nevertheless, now Final Fantasy XIV fans are able to “wow” their friends by showing their enthusiasm and amazement through this charming action. Unlocking the Wow Emote in Final Fantasy XIV
As mentioned above, players can unlock the new Wow Emote in Final Fantasy XIV by participating in The Sil’dihn Subterrane Variant Dungeon, only accessible via the Endwalker expansion. Clearing this dungeon will reward participants with a currency called Sil’dihn Potsherds. These can be exchanged for rewards, like the Wow Emote, with merchant Trisassant in Old Sharlayan (X: 12.0, Y: 13.3).

According to Attack of the Fanboy, Sil’dihn Potsherds ×9 are required to unlock the Wow Emote in Final Fantasy XIV, but this is not an amount that can be earned in one dungeon run. Therefore, players will need to clear the Variant Dungeon several times before they earn enough currency to make the trade with the NPC vendor Trisassant. To gain access to The Sil’dihn Subterrane, adventurers must complete the MSQ of the Endwalker expansion and accept the blue quest “A Key to the Past.”
To receive “A Key to the Past,” head to (X:12.0, Y:13.3) in Old Sharlayan and speak with an NPC named Shallow Moor. This quest becomes available after the completion of “An Odd Job,” which unlocks the ability to participate in Variant and Criterion Dungeons in Final Fantasy XIV. “An Odd Job” can be accepted by talking to Osmon, also located in Old Sharlayan at (X:12, Y:13.4). Bear in mind that The Sil’dihn Subterrane is a solo dungeon that mandates an Item Level of at least 575. Accordingly, adventurers should ensure they meet this requirement before attempting to enter and clear the dungeon to unlock the Wow Emote in Final Fantasy XIV.
Final Fantasy XIV is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
