Fans of the God of War series were blessed with the free Valhalla DLC that released recently, but that’s not the only thing that’s been added since the game launched back in 2022. Yes, a new armor set was introduced in the New Game Plus update as well. So, for those looking to get their mitts on the Zeus Armor set in God of War Ragnarok, here’s what you need to know.
Where to Get Zeus Armor Set in God of War Ragnarok
The Zeus Armor set is one of the best sets you can get, but it’s only for those players who’re very experienced at the game. That’s because this armor boosts your damage but at the cost of receiving more damage as well. If you can keep yourself from getting hit too many times, then don’t sleep on it.
The Zeus Armor set has three set pieces that you must obtain to complete the armor. There are four general steps which you must take in order to get Zeus Armor in God of War Ragnarok:
- Finish the Story in the New Game Plus
- Clear the Remnants of Asgard in Eastern Barri Woods in Vanaheim
This will reward you with the War Belt of Zeus
- Beat Gna, the Valkyrie Queen
This will reward you with the Cuirass of Zeus
- Clear Remnants of Asgard of The Barrens in Alfheim
This will reward you with the Gauntlets of Zeus
Those are the main steps you have to take to get the armor and the first one is to finish the game in NG+. Now, let’s get into some tips to clear two Remnants of Asgard and defeat the Valkyrie Queen in the game.
War Belt of Zeus
The War Belt of Zeus can be obtained by clearing the Remnant of Asgard in Eastern Barri Woods in Vanaheim. Like any other Remnants you will face multiple hordes of Asgardian soldiers and the special enemy you will face is a Drake. There is no tricky enemy or situation here and all you have to do is to defeat enemies and try not to get hit too much. What you must do is save your Spartan Rage and Runic attacks once the Drake comes in due to its lengthy health bar.
Gauntlets of Zeus
The next piece of armor is the Gauntlets of Zeus and same as the Belt, you have to clear the Remnants of Asgard in The Barrens section of Alfheim world. In this battle, you have to fight Skinnr and Sterkr. This is a more challenging battle, therefore it is best to let Freya take the aggro of one enemy. Be warned: these enemies have many unblockable attacks that you must learn to avoid.
Cuirass of Zeus Armor in God of War Ragnarok
Unlike the previous armor pieces, you have to fight Gna, the Valkyrie Queen. This is the most challenging part of getting this armor piece. We recommend watching Akhafasu’s video on how to easily defeat Gna in the game:
