God of War Ragnarok: How to Get Through the Purple Mist?

Just like in the previous game and Green Mist, you will encounter this obstacle several times. Although it looks like a tricky opponent at first, it is fairly easy to destroy it. However, if you follow these easy steps, you will get through the purple mist and soon continue your travels.

  1. Find the source of the purple mist.
  2. This is often on a nearby wooden pole.
  3. Now, use Kratos’ Leviathan Axe and throw it at the source.
  4. This will freeze over the source and stop the coming out of the purple mist.
  5. Remember that the source will stop airing mist only while the axe is stuck in it.
  6. So, don’t call up the axe until you have passed the purple mist.
  7. If you find yourself in the purple mist, Kratos will die.
  8. Make sure the axe is embedded into the source until you pass it.
