If you want to learn how to get to Kahatanaum Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom, this is the guide for you. Shrines in Tears of the Kingdom are complex puzzles resembling dungeons, and players receive rewards for successfully solving them. There are 152 shrines, so if you want to go as far up just to reach Kahatanaum Shrine, you might want to exhaust other options. Reaching this shrine takes lots of resourcefulness, endurance, and — most likely — failed attempts.
Tears of the Kingdom: How To Get To Kahatanaum Shrine
The Kahatanaum Shrine is located in the Sky Hebra region. Therefore, if you go to this exact spot, you will be able to discover the Kahatanaum Shrine -3295, 3430, 1347.
Still, a string of numbers can’t possibly portray the trouble you’ll have to go through to reach it. Getting to this location is the difficult part of this simple shrine, as it is in the cold climate of the Hebra Region. We recommend you bring Spicy Pepper meals or any other elixir to help you withstand the cold. It is also a good idea to equip the Link with cold-resistant clothing, such as the Snowquill set from Rito Village, a cold-resistant outfit.
Your best bet is to start your airborne journey from Mayumekis Shrine and head northwest to Kahatanaum Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom. You can glide from island to island and land on the sails of the abandoned ships in the area. But in some, you will find more significant requirements than being fit. Most islands are full of Soldier Construct II; you’ll even run into a Flux Construct I in one of them. Of course, if you’re not feeling up for a fight, you can run past them and avoid the fight entirely.

In most cases, the propelling part of the boats is covered with ice. You’ll have to jump on them to break the ice cover and access the trampoline. There’s a specific trampoline that you can access, but won’t let you reach maximum height since a wall of rocks covers it. From a safe distance, aim your bow at it, fuse an arrow with a Flower Bomb, and shoot it toward the rocks so they break. Now you can soar to new heights.
To reach Kahatanaum Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom, keep moving through the jumping boats until you reach a small Rito hut with a Cooking Pot. Here, you can rest and prep meals to recover your health or concoct an elixir to endure this cold weather.
When you land on the platform with Soldier Constructs II and Aerocludas, you must Sprint down the corridor as fast as possible. These blocks on the ground will fade into the abyss when you come in contact with them.
On the next platform, you will find a bunch of materials to craft a hot air balloon. Use the Air Baloom, the metal platform, and the Flame Emitter to build one and fly as high as possible on the vertical island. Don’t worry if you don’t reach the top; you can use Ascend. All that’s left to do from the top is jump into the ice pond. When it breaks, it will reveal a jumping boat that will take you to Kahatanaum Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom.
Since this journey has been quite an odyssey, the main reward is no puzzles to solve. Upon entering, you will find a path that leads to the stone statues, where you will find a chest with some Zonai Charges. You can stock up on them to prevent your Zonai Energy Cell from losing power.
The shrine Kahatanaum is devoid of enemies and can be completed by walking inside.
Tears of The Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
