Like most action-RPG games, Granblue Fantasy Relink features a deep and challenging combo system. Each playable character also has their own gimmicks that differentiate their gameplay from each other. For example, Siegfried players will have to time their Link Attacks to maximize their damage output. Some characters also mainly attack with ranged or magic instead of melee. Because of that, properly practicing moves on the Training Dummy in the Training Area is a crucial step in understanding Granblue Fantasy: Relink mechanics.
Granblue Fantasy Relink: How to Find the Training Dummy
The Granblue Fantasy: Relink Training Area can be accessed by interacting with the Sir Barrold Dummy on the Grandcypher. In Town, head to the docks, then select your ship the Grandcypher. From there go to the corner of the airship’s deck and you should find Sir Barrold on top of crates and sacks.
When you are interacting with Sir Barrold, it will show you four different training options:
- Practice: You can freely train combos on Sir Barrold without any restrictions. The Dummy can be set to guard your moves or attack you as well.
- Score Attack: Deal as much damage to Sir Barrold within the specified time limit. The challenge offers three different time limits:
- 10 seconds.
- 30 seconds.
- 60 seconds.
- Time Attack: Defeat Sir Barrold as fast as you can. There are seven levels of the challenge:
- Easy.
- Normal.
- Hard.
- Very Hard.
- Extreme.
- Maniac.
- Proud.

When unlocking a new character in Granblue Fantasy: Relink by using a Crewmate Card, you will also automatically be transported to the Training Area. This feature makes trying out newly recruited party members fast and hassle-free.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
